Pat is a multiple world record holder for endurance running. In 2011, he trekked from the North Pole to the South Pole, running the equivalent of two marathons every day for almost a year. He covered over 13,000 miles through 14 countries and raised $100 million for the International Red Cross. He has also run across Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, North America and most recently the Middle East. Pat served 8 years as a Member of Australia’s Parliament, with 3 years as Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training. Pat has raised millions of dollars for causes during his 20 year running career, including Lifeline, Cancer Council, Diabetes Australia and the Red Cross Clean Water program.
