On the 3rd of May, Red Bull held its unique global event, the Wings For Life World Run. This charity race was held simultaneously around the world in 34 locations across six continents, with the proceeds going towards researching a cure for spinal cord injury.

The event was a great success, raising a staggering €3 million for spinal cord research, with 35,397 runners travelling a total of 530,928 kilometers – or the equivalent of one person running 13 laps around the world.

The Australian location for the Wings For Life race was Busselton in WA, with the race kicking off at 6:00PM. LED Lenser were proud sponsors of the event here in Australia, with every participant receiving their own LED Lenser H4 Headlamp to help the light the way along the track. As a bonus, each race was also given a Nite Ize ClipLit as a bit of extra illumination to keep them visible on their run.
